Causes ELAP Supports

ELAP was a proud participant of the Angelman Walk. The Angelman Syndrome Foundation's mission is to advance the awareness and treatment of Angelman syndrome, a neuro-genetic disorder that occurs in one in 15,000 live births, through education and information, research, and support for individuals with Angelman syndrome, their families and other concerned parties. We exist to give all of them a reason to smile, with the ultimate goal of finding a cure.
ELAP was a proud supporter of the Bert Bell Memorial Award Dinner. The Bert Bell Memorial Dinner began 50 years ago as a tribute to Philadelphia-born Bert Bell, one of the most prolific commissioners of the National Football League.

Celia's Hope is about a beautiful 7-year-old child living with Cerebral Palsy (CP). She's made tremendous strides over the last few years and her family wants the progress to continue. Celia's team walks, as a family, in support of her and all children with CP. Elap is proud to support Team Celia's Hope and the United Cerebral Palsy 5K walk.

ELAP is a proud sponsor of the 28th Annual Eagles Fly for Leukemia Golf Classic. Proceeds from this event fund pediatric cancer research and The EFL Family Support Program. This year the event will be held at the Huntingdon Valley Country Club in Huntingdon Valley, PA.

ELAP was a proud sponsor of Night at the Zoo, which is for children in the community who are battling pediatric cancer. Last year, over 900 people from area pediatric hospitals enjoyed an evening at the Philadelphia Zoo along with food, face painting and entertainment all for free.

ELAP is proud to support The Coweta Samaritan Clinic which provides quality healthcare and compassionate support to uninsured and underinsured in a faith-based environment to residents of Coweta County.
ELAP's co-founder and Vice President, Woody Waters participated in the 2012 Bluegrass and Barbeque which raised over $80,000 for the clinic. ELAP, working to play our part in the success of the clinic and its medical services, is also proud to have donated a sizable monetary gift in 2013 and 2011 and is committed to supporting the clinic in the future.

Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy is dedicated to creating a treatment and cure by funding and advancing a comprehensive research program; supporting SMA families through networking, information and services; improving care for all SMA patients; educating health professionals and the public about SMA; enlisting government support for SMA; and embracing all touched by SMA in a caring community.

Eagles Fly for Leukemia awards three $1,500 Kim Hill Scholarships to St. Joseph's University and Drexel University. The scholarships are given to survivors of childhood cancer through CCC Pedia. With the support of their “team” of local businesses, corporations and friends, Eagles Fly for Leukemia has raised over $10 million towards the goal of abolishing childhood cancers and enhancing the lives of children and families in their communities. ELAP is proud to be one of these supporters.

The mission of the ALS Association, Greater Philadelphia Chapter is to lead the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy while also empowering people with Lou Gehrig’s Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support. ELAP fully supports this mission.
